Film: Chapter One
This first chapter is going to cover the basic things You need to achieve any result of this course. You should take into account screenwriting is not the easiest thing to do and you need to dedicate a certain amount of you time to do it well, once you have learnt it the right way, you will never want to go back!

1. A Screenplay Software
Do not fret. I have anit-virus spyware and allot of protection systems of my computer and I still got out the other side with no bruises. I never told my parents I Installed a program, but then again I dont tell them allot. I absolutely recommend Celtx ( http://www.celtx.com ) I will use screen captures of that whoever I show pictures ect.

Whatever software you get It should be ALL these, if it is not get another, there are many out there: One, it should be Free. No money is needed in Celtx. Money is not what its about. It should be completely free, no trials nothing. Tip: Make sure its a well known large company, they are more likely to be trustable. Two, It should be downloadable. The last thing you want is an internet programme, the company taking your work, you having to use up internet connection and if your internet goes down or theres does, its gone. They will not back up your work, while if it is a file on your computer it will be. Three, It should be reviewed. This means that you should be able to find reviews on the software saying things about it. Tip: Make sure the review is not on the website of the company, check out peoples blogs ect. The company will ONLY publish good reviews. Four, It should be easy, for beginners and advanced. Anything that requires you to have allot knowledge about screenwriting is not right because you do not need different software as you get better, honestly.

2. A Genuine Interest
To achieve a screenplay that is right you need to actually like seeing films or writing. If you completely into writing books with much description and thoughts maybe this isnt for you, because you only decide what the HEAR and what the CHARACTERS DO. You can only vaguely control the scenery and you cannot control what the characters look like. Even if you write "Daisy Johnson, 26, Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes and tall" you will end up with a girl about 30, with brown hair, brown eyes and perfectly sized. You have to go with the flow. But lets not get off the point: If you want to be able to write a script you need to really want too. My first few "screenplays" I wrote are all terrible, but I wanted to write better and have better ideas so I carried on. I didnt finish my first few anyway, because, frankly the story wasnt cut. (See later chapters).

3. You do not mind Reading
Select your status out of these: Avid Reader, Keen Reader, Casual Reader or Light Reader. If your a light reader you should probably stop now because you need to read allot. You have done well to reach number three! I appreciate that there is allot of small writing to read and I will try to make it short and snappy but sometimes you need to read allot just because, Ha Ha, what I am saying is you need to be prepared to read paragraphs about stuff you may not think is important - even if Im rambling.

4. Dedication
You know what I mean, blah blah blah. But sometimes if for instance you suddenly realize you just wrote every Scene title in Dialog mode you need to go change it (Apart from you would never do that, it is really obvious). So you go through at least a months work changing everything, then you realize you changed then to Text so you go back and do them ALL again. I had to do that once, change all my actions from text to action. It is really hard but I did it and that when I decided I was dedicated enough to be done!

So those are my 4 tips to success. I suggest before going onto the next chapter, you get a software. If you lost for what software to do, take the easy no-virus Celtx.
